Stockade Walkabout

Stockade Walkabout
Saturday, September 23 • 11am – 5pm

Ever wanted to peek inside the beautiful homes that grace the Stockade? Mark your calendars! The Stockade Walkabout is your chance!

Schenectady’s Stockade is the oldest registered historic district in New York State. The Stockade Walkabout invites visitors to step inside privately-owned homes in the neighborhood, including the 1720s Brouwer-Rosa house, opened to the public for the first time ever, and the 1830 Schenectady Courthouse, now renovated into beautiful aparments with gorgeous original details.

Don’t forget the gardens, secretly tucked behind these houses, and accessible to the public for one day only! The Stockade Walkabout also features music and costumed characters throughout the neighborhood, exhibits and blacksmithing demonstrations at the Schenectady County Historical Society, guided tours, and more.

Tickets are $20 and available at www.historicstockade.com

Already got your ticket? Meet us in front of the SCHS (32 Washington Ave) on Saturday to pick up your map and admission bracelet!
