Songs of New York: A Celebration of Traditional New York State Music
June 13, 2015 –
Join us for a night of traditional New York music as we celebrate the end of our "Exploring Schenectady County's Immigrant Past" project. The concert will take place in the 1760s Nielsen Dutch Barn, on the grounds of the Mabee Farm Historic Site in Rotterdam Junction.
Musician Dave Ruch will perform songs of real-life "Yorkers" from days gone by-- farmers, lumbermen, children, immigrants, Native Americans, canallers, hops pickers, and more! Also performing is local 518 band Lost Radio Rounders, upstate New York’s premiere Acoustic Americana duo, performing traditional NY songs, ballads and singalongs.
Admission is $5.00. Beer and wine will be available for purchase. Join us for a drink and live music, and help us celebrate the people who settled and built our region!
