A Toast to Temperance with Chris Leonard
Thursday, Jan 17 - 7pm @ 32W • Free!
It's the 100th anniversary of prohibition! Join Schenectady City Historian Chris Leonard as he examines the effects of the 18th and the 21st Amendments on Schenectady. The Schenectady Distilling Company, Inc. will also be here to discuss the renaissance in brewing and distilling that is taking place in New York State. At 8:00 PM, we'll raise glasses of The Schenectady Distilling Company, Inc. spirits and toast the passage and eventual repeal of the Amendments!
This will be a fun evening of participatory history as we examine how Schenectadians approached Prohibition and found ways to get around it.
