Join us for an outdoor, riverside performance of the Schenectady Symphony Orchestra as we celebrate Independence Day! Fireworks will close the show, and food, beverage, and craft vendors will be on site with free activities for kids and families.
A Day on the Farm Thursday, July 12 - 10am at the Mabee Farm
In this program, kids get hands-on with history and agriculture! We’ll start by planting some veggies in our kitchen garden. Next, we’ll go from farm to table, harvesting our very own rye and using it to bake a fresh loaf of bread. $8 for each child and adult.
Under the Stars with Dr. Valerie Rapson Friday, July 20 - 8pm at the Mabee Farm
Gather 'round the campfire under the stars! Special guest Dr. Valerie Rapson will be with us to lead a stargazing activity. Enjoy good company and tasty s’mores. Should the weather be less than ideal, we’ll head inside for Dr. Rapson’s presentation. $8 for each child and adult.

American Girl Tea Wednesday, August 1 - 2pm at the Mabee Farm
We’ll meet our host, Caroline Abbott, a brave girl from Sacket’s Harbor NY in 1812 as we explore Mabee Farm's period boats and make a boat-themed craft to take home. Refreshments served. $8 for each child and adult.

Travel back to the 1700s when the mighty Mohawk was the gateway to the West. We’ll take our reproduction boats out for a 2 hour rowing session; be prepared to do some rowing! Expert guides in period clothing will to show us the way. $15 kids, $20 adults. Check online for rain dates.
