SUMMARY:Bateau Sunset Cruise
DESCRIPTION:For centuries\, Schenectady men and women rowed the waters of the mighty Mohawk River in sturdy vessels called batteaux. On this sunset cruise\, we’ll recreate their journeys\, albeit at a more relaxing pace. Our reproduction bateau is crewed by expert reenactors\, and guests are invited to pitch in. Naturally\, each ticket includes a cocktail as a standard ration. Sit back\, relax\, and take in the sunset* as so many generations of Schenectadians have before. \n*Sunset is at 6:58pm \nThis cruise is limited to ten people. Because this program is highly weather-dependent\, please also reserve Sept 26 as a rain date.

SUMMARY:"Expressive Interpretations" Exhibition Opening Reception
DESCRIPTION:This exhibition showcases new\, original works by four artists: Deborah Angilletta\, John Morrette\, Tim Prendergast\, and Maureen Sausa. Together\, they developed Expressive Interpretations\, a collaborative exploration of individuality in landscape art. \nEach artist contributed a black-and-white landscape photograph as a shared reference. From these four images\, every artist created a set of four paintings\, interpreting each scene through their own perspective. The result is a collection of sixteen watercolor\, oil\, and acrylic paintings that highlight the unique vision\, color choices\, and techniques of each artist. Imagine the possibilities! \nPlease join us for a wine and cheese reception celebrating the opening of this exhibition. Admission is free and open to all.

We will get outside into nature to craft some prints of our own. \nFree for SCHS Family+ members (RSVP required)\, otherwise $10 for everyone 4+.
