A Society of Friends: A Tour of the Quaker Meeting House
May 16 @ 10:00 am - 11:30 am
$15.00
In a quiet corner of Schenectady county, the hamlet of Quaker Street holds a unique story. There sits a simple structure, raised in 1807 by the Religious Society of Friends. This “Quaker” Meeting house tells a story of peace, integrity and community more than two centuries in the making. In this program, we have the rare opportunity to explore this nationally registered historic place. We’ll learn its history from the stewards who keep its legacy today.
The Quaker Meeting House is located at 10226 Duanesburg Rd, Delanson, NY 12053. The tour lasts about an hour. There are no bathrooms on site so please plan accordingly!
