Wine and Walk Friday: From Canal Days to the Golden Era

Once a sleepy farming town, Schenectady experienced a dramatic transformation when the Erie Canal opened in 1825. Over the next hundred years, the small town evolved in a giant of manufacturing and industry. Join us as we explore 19th and early 20th century Schenectady, from canals to railroads to its "golden era" of prosperity. After the tour, choose to stick around for a drink at the historic Arthur’s Market. This tour meets at SCHS, 32 Washington Ave, Schenectady, and concludes at Arthur’s Market on N. Ferry Street. All ticket sales are final.
