The Battles of Saratoga in 1777 gave a decisive victory to the Americans in the Revolutionary War. Nearly 250 years later, we’re still learning about the details of this turning point in the fight for independence. In 2019 the National Park Service and its partners undertook a study at the Barber Wheatfield, Saratoga National Historical Park, where the second battle of Saratoga started. Team Lead Dr. William Griswold will share results of the project.
