Festival of Trees

Celebrate the season as we fill our galleries with lighted fir trees! Decorated from classic to kooky Christmas styles, the Festival of Trees glows with the enchantment of the holidays. Join us throughout December for a shimmering, festive season. The Festival of Trees is a fundraiser for, and a partnership between, the Schenectady County Historical Society and the YWCA NorthEastern NY. Admission is $8 for adults 12+. Consider supporting these two community organizations by sponsoring a tree! Please visit www.schenectadyhistorical.org/festivals

Drink the Seasons: Christmas Cocktails

The halls are decked, the trees are lit, and we're celebrating the holiday season with our final round of seasonal mixology workshops. Led by historian John Gearing, we’ll make — and sample — a variety of historic libations, made with locally grown, seasonal ingredients. Fully decorated for the holidays, the SCHS is its brightest and most beautiful in December. Join us in celebrating the season with a few rounds of drinks amidst holiday splendor.
